Bad news for me...yet again.

Well, I was making some progress with the girl I like. I had conversed with her via facebook and she genuinely seemed interested in me. I thought- wow- maybe for ONCE in my fucking life- a girl that I like likes me as well, or at least would go on a date with me.
Unfortunately for Mr. NoGirls here, I find out from a credible source that she is actually seeing someone! How wonderful. All of this work for the last two months- all the agony and pain- for nothing! Some bum off the streets is dating her- not me. I am left with 2 possibliities that I need to choose from for my future with her:
1.) To simply forget about her for good. Find some other girl to be rejected by. Pretend she does not exist.
2.) Try to befriend her so that the second her bf breaks up with her, I can jump in on things. This one is tricky though, since, as you have seen, I like her a ridiculous amount, and waiting for months could be agonizing and bad for my mental health.

I need help here. Also, why the HELL do I never get girls that I like to like me back! EVER. NOT EVEN ONCE IN MY EXISTENCE. I saw a relationship form in a few weeks between my friend and another guy (Amber and Shaun, matt ) and all worked out well. He liked her, she liked him back- bamm, they're dating like normal humans. But- for me- it never happens. WTF is wrong with me. I know I am not hideous. Please help me analyze this simply perplexing issue of mine.

unfortunately Evan thats how it goes sometimes. you just have to take it in stride and try not to worry about it. and if i might offer a suggestion out of experience go with number 2. i met a girl at Hershey park and found out she had a boyfriend a couple weeks later and stopped talking to her and i really regret it. so my advise would be, be her friend at the moment and if she doesn't break up with her current boyfriend for a while look at the bright side......you have an incredibly hot friend

But Kyle- I would be ok if thats how "it was sometimes" but for me, that is how it is every time. It is hard to take something like this in stride when I really genuinely liked her and already have been shot down by every other girl I have ever liked. Sorry for sounding mean BTW- I am just extremely upset with the situation. Also, if I do keep her as a friend, I will still like her and probably like her more each day. If she stays with that guy for like a year, I will go insane (quite literally). Thank you for responding. I appreciate it.

no, but the guy who i was told she is "talking to" has on his facebook single, and since she has nothing she isnt sure and neither is he, they are just talking, i tried telling you this, i said kinda seeing someone, meaning there is a slight window, but u need to be flawlessly funny, witty smart and all that good stuff
