The levels is an awesome way of classifying your state of consciousness at any given time. It was developed by Leary in the 70s. Here are the levels: 1. Basic, biological needs. Reptiles developed this. 2. A feeling of basic instincs and drives. 3. An awake sense of basic intelligence. 4. A heightened sense of intelligence. Most people are at a 3 or 4 during their lives. 5. A super- pleasureable heightened sense of awareness. 6. An even more "out there" sense of awareness. 7. Just plain crazy. 8. The highest level. A total detachment of the mind from the body and its earthly confines.
Its fun to tell people you are at a certain level. Also, levels can be brought about by using certain substances as follows: 1. Opium and coma (bad level to be at!) 2. Your good friend alcohol (I dont like this level too much ) 3. Exercize, food, thinking, caffeine (a good level indeed) 4. Just plain walkin around. Nothing special. 5. Old mary jane, cool music, and everyone's favorite- sex. 6. Those crazy mushrooms 7. LSD (yeah these levels are pretty crazy) 8. No one knows yet, near death experiences too.
So, as you can see, some levels in the middle are good, and most of the rest are crazy or just plain bad.
