Another thing that bugs me is people's attitudes to law. People seem to think that if a law prohibits something or allows something- then it is absolute truth! Sillyness! The legal system is a system of progress- that is- it is supposed to be refined not stay a moral constant!
Example- Slavery was legal for a good 1000 years in Europe and 200 in the US. Does that make it right??
Please provide other hot topics and examples that we can debate! I am in the mood for a good ol'fashioned debate!

if you have to steal to survive you deserve to be dead or in prison its pathetic to see how people can be so lazy that they cant get a decent job and have a normal life

not to change the subject, but certain drugs are illegal and people still do them. I honestly think that if all drugs were to be legalized it would lessen a lot of crime and stuff. However, it probably would lead to many more bad things, so I don't know what should be done with this one...comments???
P.S. ...I am not a hippie either...or am I...*strokes chin as I look menacingly at the ceiling* haha...but seriously,...i am not a hippie

The opportunity is there. It's been there. Maybe they can't help it because of parents or something like a natural disaster (I don't think Matt meant the people who were involved with any natural disasters were lazy.). Who knows why these people are homeless. We don't. There could be plenty of reasons. Drug addict, high school drop out, no GED, alcoholic, parents were poor, etc. The list goes on. Stealing shouldn't be necessary to survive. If it is, there's a problem.
And for future references, if you don't want to sound like an ass, don't call someone dipshit, moron, or dick and tell them to shut the fuck up.
