So, why do you bother listening or playing music? What is the point MAN?! It is interesting that people incorporate alternating tones and rhythms into their lives so much.
For me, music serves many purposes. I find that it is good as a tool for intellectual stimulation and relaxation as well. Playing music keeps your brain sharp and your coordination sharp too. I think that the appreciation of music and the ability to create it is one of the greatest achievements of evolution. It shows that our minds have evolved to a point where we can manage complex abstractions (harmony, tone, and rhythm) into forms to actually provoke emotions. Pretty interesting. What are your thoughts?

Relaxation (Actually, a simple metronome can put you in a trance state), expressing emotion, feeling emotion, sharing emotion.
